Skinny trees are no good!

Lyndsay is a Christmas fanatic. However, this year marriage brings quite a spin on Christmas. Scott being the frugal spender he is, decided to wait to after Christmas to get the new family Christmas tree on the after Christmas sale. Hence, this Christmas' tree consisted of a 4 1/2 foot tree with 12 candy canes, lights and five ornaments. Lyndsay was more than disappointed.

We were at wal-mart together just after Christmas and noticed a Christmas special....75% off everything! Lyndsay got very excited and began finding things that we just had to have. They even had several different kinds of trees. $120-$150 dollar trees for only $30-$40 bucks! What a bargain....so Lyndsay found the tallest, prelit tree possible and bought it. 9ft tall. Taller than Scott!!!!!

Tonight we decided to open it up and see what it looked like. We unpacked all of the pieces, argued about how to assemble it and finally got it together. We plugged it in and bright light shone throughout the room. We stepped back to admire it and noticed the entire middle section and half the bottom was not lit at all. Not only that, but the tree was half the width of a normal tree. Scott groaned and Lyndsay cried.

So now it's back in the box and we're going back to wal-mart to see what we can find. Ugh.
