Lyndsay goes on the low-carb diet

Lyndsay has decided to go on the Atkins diet. The Atkins diet is great for the person on it, because they lose weight. It’s horrible for the person who lives with the person on the diet, because I have to eat meal after meal with no carbs, but then to satisfy my carb cravings, I just have to throw down a slice of bread or two. Blah.

If anyone wants to go get a pizza, call me. I’m dying for a pizza.

So last week, Lyndsay decided to cook up some chicken parmesan. Since she was going to work the next couple days, she decided to get ahead and make about 10 servings of it. The first night was great. It was delicious. Lyndsay couldn’t eat the noodles, so I got my chicken with double noodles. Fine with me…

…until the next day when I went to grab some leftovers for lunch and noticed Lyndsay took a double portion of chicken to work with her and left me with a double portion of noodles. So, like a good husband, I pulled out a plate and proceeded to eat the noodles. Not very good, but I could handle it.

But then the next day, it happened again…and the next day…AGAIN. Finally we finished the bowl. By the time we got done, I was so sick of eating noodles in red sauce I was about to throw up. I ate so many noodles with marinara sauce that the next two meals I ate, even though they were something completely different, still tasted like noodles with marinara sauce…it was all my brain knew when processing taste.

I’ve recovered now from the traumatic noodle experience, but it’s still chicken this and turkey that here at meal time. If anyone wants to go get a pizza, just give me a call…
